Overnight stay, Camp Kangiusaq.
Camp Kangiusaq is located deep in the landscape, not far from Nuuk, but far enough away to feel part of the wilderness. The boat ride here is an experience in itself – with views of icebergs, mountains, birds and wildlife.
There are several hiking routes, long and short hikes, giving you magnificent views of the icefjord. The waterside can also be explored; by kayak, paddleboard or borrow a fishing rod. At the end of the day we gather for dinner.
You’ll sleep in quality tents, with simple facilities and your own beds. Local guides are included. Borrow paddleboards, kayaks and fishing rods along the way.

Nuuk Art Museum![]()
Capturing and expressing what the eye sees and the heart feels in Greenland, in large and small ways, and respecting that not everything can be explained, but must be loved and felt, could be the idea when the old Adventist church in Nuuk was transformed into an art museum in 2005.
Humpback whales around Nuuk (June-September)
During the summer months, humpback whales visit Nuuk Fjord, which is 600 meters deep and rich in fish, providing an ideal environment for the whales to feed. Whale hunting is prohibited in Nuuk Fjord, which attracts the whales, and under protection they can feed without the risk of hunting. Read more about the whales in Greenland.
Malik swimming pool in Nuuk.
In 2003, the Malik “wave” swimming pool was created by Tegnestuen in Nuuk and KHRAS architects, and the architecture is a result of creating a place where nature and indoor water activities harmonize with each other. Here is a magnificent view of the fjord.
Nuuk Center and shopping.
Nuuk Center houses a wide range of shops ranging from local specialty stores to international brands. In addition to retail stores, Nuuk Center also includes service businesses such as travel agencies, hairdressers and bank branches. A visit to the Nuuk Center also offers eateries where you can taste both local and international food.
Nuuk Boardwalk.
The coastal path in Nuuk winds along the coast and offers magnificent views of the fjord, the surrounding mountains and the Arctic landscape. Along the way, you can observe icebergs drifting silently by and maybe even spot whales depending on the season. Also keep an eye out for birds, sea eagles, reindeer and Arctic foxes.
Fjord sailing, catch your own fish, dine at Restaurant Qooqqut Nuan.
An hour’s sail from Nuuk, chef Mads Bek and his wife have created a cozy restaurant with views of mountains and valleys. Here they create delicious dishes – including from the fish you caught on the way here.
