Why choose dog sledding?

For many, a dog sled ride across the ice, sitting close to loved ones and the white landscape is a must see. And with good reason. It’s as if excitement mixed with humility at being so small, but still being able to feel the grandeur, all come together on a dog sled ride.

Sled dogs are an integral part of life in Greenland and are known for their strength and endurance. On the tour you will experience the dogs’ interaction, their speed and their cooperation with the musher up close.
Before the tour, you will be introduced to the dog handlers who will take care of the dogs and help you prepare for the tour in the snowy landscape around Sisimiut. Read more about dog sledding.

Sail among icebergs in Ilulissat.

Ilulissat Icefjord is known for its colossal icebergs, which originate from the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier. Icebergs can be enormous, some reaching heights equivalent to multi-storey buildings. Majestically floating through the fjord, a boat trip brings you close to these giant ice formations

Greenland National Museum.

Get closer to Greenland’s first people and feel the line of history that extends up to humanity today.
One of the highlights of the museum’s collection is the famous mummies and costumes from Qilakitsoq in northwestern Greenland. The museum also houses the oldest and almost completely intact skin boat.

Nuuk Art Museum

Capturing and expressing what the eye sees and the heart feels in Greenland, in large and small ways, and respecting that not everything can be explained, but must be loved and felt, could be the idea when the old Adventist church in Nuuk was transformed into an art museum in 2005.

Katuaq, Nuuk Cultural Center

Right in the heart of the city, you’ll recognize Katuaq by its undulating facade, inspired by the flickering northern lights and the dramatic shapes of icebergs, reflected in its wave-like facade of golden wooden slats. Inside is a large concert hall, cinemas, a café and exhibition areas. Katuaq is a vibrant house with a wide range of cultural activities, including concerts, theater, dance, film and art exhibitions.
