In South Greenland, you can walk through valleys filled with flowers in the summer, where sheep farms are small spots in the open landscape, and where history and nature merge in a way that makes it difficult to distinguish between past and present.
People keep sheep, grow small gardens and in some places you can even see greenhouses where people experiment with growing vegetables.
The fjords have a special tranquillity and as you sail between the small settlements, you can experience everything from giant icebergs to mirror-like water. And then there are the hot springs at Uunartoq – one of the few places in Greenland where you can sit in warm water and watch icebergs float by.
