Accommodation at Hotel Sisimiut.

Staying at Hotel Sisimiut offers views of mountains and hiking trails. The hotel has its own restaurant and we recommend their Greenlandic buffet. Outside on the terrace you can sit in the hot tub with a view of the sky, followed by a sauna.

Dog sledding.

For many, a dog sled ride across the ice, sitting close to loved ones and the white ice and snow rushing by is a must-see. And with good reason. It’s as if the sound that exists inside when excitement mixes with the humility of being so small, but still able to feel the magnificence, all come together on a dog sled ride.

Sled dogs are an integral part of life in Sisimiut and are known for their strength and endurance. An experienced sled driver will be your guide throughout the journey through snowy expanses, forests of frosty trees and you might even have the opportunity to spot wild animals such as reindeer or foxes.

Before the tour, you will be introduced to the dog handlers who will take care of the dogs and help you prepare for the tour in the snowy landscape around Sisimiut. For the tour, you will be given appropriate clothing and equipment to keep you warm. Traditional furry suits; anoraks and warm boots will typically be part of the attire.
